For the last decade, singer-songwriter Wrabel has been crafting emotional pop ballads for himself and some of your favorite artists, like Kesha, Adam Lambert and Ellie Goulding. But now, the artist is delivering one of his most loving ballads to date.
On Friday (May 3), Wrabel released his new single “The Real Thing,” a hypnotic slow jam following the singer as he ponders a new relationship. As the singer's soft vocals slowly ramp up to the track’s chorus, he cautions his lover to not break his heart. “This could be the real thing/ If we let it, this could be the real thing/ If we don't fuck it up by overthinking,” he sings.
The new track comes just after Wrabel’s latest major feature on P!nk’s eighth studio album Hurts 2B Human, where he dueted with pop superstar on her track “90 Days.” P!nk gave the singer-songwriter a shout-out on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying she was inspired to work with him thanks to his “The Village” video. “He is an independent artist, and his dream is to make an album, and I hope this is what does it for him,” she said.
