Lemonade Sin, Micky C and the Sad Sad People, Sassyhiya

Sunday, July 17, 19:00
adv £8.80

Dreamy alt-pop band Lemonade Sin are the creation of Lee Friese Greene and Simon Aldous, formerly of Sidi Bou Said and Umbrella Heaven respectively, citing their influences as Abba and the Velvet Underground with echoes of every great boy/girl duet you’ve ever heard

They are joined by Charlotte Beale on bass, Jennifer Denitto on drums, Robin Morgan on keyboards and Kathy Welch on guitar, glockenspiel and melodica, the six of them creating an expansive, lush sound.

Lemonade Sin are delighted to be joined by Mickey C and All The Sad Sad People, whose album, Happy, is a journey through dark but uplifting atmospheric pop and post-rock, influenced by the Flaming Lips, Grandaddy, the Antlers and Spiritualized.

Completing the bill will be Sassyhiya, a band formed by Kathy Wright and Helen Skinner from south London LGBT cult band Barry.

The show marks the launch of Lemonade Sin’s album Anagrams.
