INSECURE Sacha Lecca HR_0202x

It’s heatwave season and the air conditioning is on full blast, we’ve got this!

Thursday 1st August

CRYWANK  are a Manchester based anti-folk band. They mostly write sad songs and have been told they are the worst named band in the country. They are celebrating a decade of not breaking up with an hour and a half of music from their first (and only) 6 albums!

Rosalie Cunningham (Ex-Purson)

+ Gu-Ru

Saturday 3rd August

Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer behind psychedelic rock band Purson, Rosalie Cunningham, is back with a debut solo album released 5th July 2019. Catch her and her new band on their jaunt across Merrie Olde England this Summer!

“Rosalie Cunningham is a rock star… she exudes an effortless charisma and quiet confidence. The music she makes is meticulously but lovingly designed to blow minds.” Dom Lawson, Metal Hammer

The Queen’s Head

+ Haze + CC Honeymoon

Permanent Creeps will be playing host to the introduction of debut single ‘Rudetoy’ and a band re-imagined. Amid the chaos of an immersive live show, The Queen’s Head bring pounding dance rhythms, wistful melodies and cutting poetry which will make you dance and cry at the same time.

“The theatre of the ugly, welcome the scene’s been set, come see your face in the spirit, as you booze to forget”

The Bulletproof Bomb is dead, long live The Queen’s Head. Same hopeful feeling, same hopeless dread.

ZU (Carboniferous 10th anniversary tour)

+ Nøught + Thumpermonkey

Tuesday 13th August

Brace yourselves for a night of mindbending noise, jazz, prog rock and psychedelia.

Zu have influenced thousands of musicians over the last two decades with their punchy, industrial approach to explosive noise rock. This tour celebrates ten years since the release of the sax, drums and bass trio’s most iconic album, Carboniferous, released via Ipecac Recordings on March 2009.

Nøught are a supergroup of world-class jazz musicians producing unpredictably wild avant-rock and ominous psychedelic ramblings. Rarely able to play or record together due to their commitments to so many other renowned projects, this will be the latest chance to hear what sounds we can expect from their first album in almost twenty years (whenever that’s ready!).

Thumpermonkey have been rising through the worlds of prog, art rock and post-rock, never sitting comfortably in any, but appealing to all with their unusually nuanced approach to songwriting. They received wide acclaim after the release of their EP Electricity and their latest album Make Me Young, etc., which you can buy now via Rockosmos. A transcendent experience.

Friday 16th August

This is everything you need to know about PRINCESTEEN: They play a cover of a Prince song. Then they play a cover of a Springstreen song. Then they repeat that formula 14 times…

Thursday 22nd August

Bleached bring their fearlessly big pop melodies to The Lexington on Thursday 22nd August!

Sisters Jennifer and Jessie Clavin grew up deep in the San Fernando Valley, and they became teenaged underground staples at all-ages Downtown DIY venue The Smell after years of sneaking into punk shows over the hill in Hollywood. Bleached originally formed when the Clavin sisters resolved to continue working with each other upon the break up of their all-girl punk band Mika Miko.

Sam Evian

Tuesday 27th August

Sam Evian is a New York based songwriter/singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and Saddle Creek recording artist.

Insecure Men – A Quietus Fundraiser

Thursday 29th August

Limp Wrist

Saturday 31st August

Led by Martin Sorrondeguy, former vocalist of the hugely influential Latino punks Los Crudos, Limp Wrist started as a project band in a Philadelphia basement in 1998. Though none of the members have all lived in the same city at the same time, it hasn’t stopped them from touring their hardcore punk to most corners of the globe including the United States, Europe, Australia and South America.
