Sunday, June 16, 19:00
‘Mesmerising, baffling and bonkers...' Suzi Feay (Financial Times)
This is the official album launch of the brand new album from Bird Radio with sound artists Pig7, based on CROW, the book of poetry by Ted Hughes. The band features Bird Radio (vocals, synths), Kevin Poulton and Stuart Fisher (pig7) on electronics, synths and chains, Rick Campion on bass and Aki Fujimoto on drums and Japanese Taiko.
There will be a limited edition CD copy of Crow available on the night. 18+ only. Doors open 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Dress code: black and bold.
“Crow would be thrilled...Bird Radio has got the swagger, and the terrible romanticism, and the sweetness in the bleakness. It’s deeply felt and riveting. Lots of work about or inspired by Crow is scared to be beautiful. He has to be beautiful or the ugliness fails”.
