Anemone

+ Corridor + Cagework

Saturday 1st June

Anemone is a real live band. Lead by Songwriter Chloé Soldevila, it is music to be blasted from car speakers and at parties, a communal experience intended to be shared, the kind of emotional catharsis that can pack a dance floor—sometimes even packing the stage as well. Creatively incorporating aspects that can vary from Dream pop, dance music and Krautrock, it is music that will stick with you, that will live inside your brain, that will become a part of you forever. Music that refuses to be ignored. Anemone is Chloé Soldevila, Miles Dupire-Gagnon, Gabriel Lambert, Zachary Irving and Samuel Gemme.

Bird Radio

Sunday 16th June

‘Mesmerising, baffling and bonkers…’ Suzi Feay (Financial Times)

This is the official album launch of the brand new album from Bird Radio with sound artists Pig7, based on CROW, the book of poetry by Ted Hughes. The band features Bird Radio (vocals, synths), Kevin Poulton and Stuart Fisher (pig7) on electronics, synths and chains, Rick Campion on bass and Aki Fujimoto on drums and Japanese Taiko.

There will be a limited edition CD copy of Crow available on the night. 18+ only. Doors open 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Dress code: black and bold.

“Crow would be thrilled…Bird Radio has got the swagger, and the terrible romanticism, and the sweetness in the bleakness. It’s deeply felt and riveting. Lots of work about or inspired by Crow is scared to be beautiful. He has to be beautiful or the ugliness fails”. Max Porter (author of Lanny & Grief is the Thing with Feathers)

Lawrence Arabia

Wednesday 19th June

It’s great to have our New Zealand friend Lawrence Arabia back with us!

“As inviting as the honk of the Good Humor Man of the ‘50s, who toodled his ice-cream truck through neighbourhoods of my youth. Such tune-smithery simply isn’t for tyros. It takes real savvy to pull it off. James Milne is equipped for such craft. I was delighted to feel attached to such a talented work, a notch above, and so plainly fanciful. Dreamsville!” Van Dyke Parks
