Tuvaband releases her second album ‘I Entered The Void’ 27th of November, and plays at The Lexington as part of her album tour.
However you come across the music of Norway’s Tuvaband, whether live or on record, it makes a mark. The project of Tuva Hellum Marschhäuser, she has a knack for capturing a strange magic in her songs, delicate compositions that range from delicate, piano-led folk to softly-soaring, post-rock that wraps the listener up in its own special atmosphere, held spellbound by the sounds swirling around Hellum Marschhäuser’s captivating, feather-light vocal. 2018 saw Tuva release her debut album Soft Drop, critically-acclaimed back home in Norway and internationally, and just over a year later, the follow-up is on the way.
Tuvaband’s new album is called I Entered The Void, and marks a change in sound, mirrored by changes in Tuva’s personal life (a move to Berlin) that fuel its lyrics and themes. It’s a step away from deliberate minimalism of Soft Drop and her earlier music, swapped out for a heavier, more full sound, recorded with a live band to add the weight and muscle Tuva wanted in her new material.

Jimothy Lacoste
‘Hates being lazy, hates being dumb, hangs with posh white kids and loves his darling mum.’
His music has tinges of Mike Skinner and draws accidental parallels to fellow north London dance-grime-electro collective Man Like Me, but his musical lineage seems more informed by an internal struggle with adolescent boredom and filling a void for the shy and insecure.
Master Peace
Master Peace is a 19 year old South Londoner who has managed to captivate the ears of this generationw ith his own hybrid indie street sound. His combination of infectious hooks and a live show that will blow your mind has quickly solidified himself on the cool kid circuit of London as the new head turner.
Rose Gray
Rose Gray born and raised in Walthamstow- East London, comes from a big arty family with working actor parents. Rose grew up listening to the diverse sounds of everyone from Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, Lily Allen, Dr Dre, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, The Streets, Tribe Called Quest and Portishead – all of which have impacted her unique eclectic sound. The singer/songwriter moves between soul and conversational poetry seamlessly. Having been honing in her craft and writing for a while now Rose’s heartfelt ‘of the times’ lyricism sets her aside, and up for an exciting 2019.

Fraternizing with the likes of Dave Grohl, Arcade Fire, Eddie Argos and Boy George outing himself as a fan, a lot has happened in Gurrworld since they released their 2016 award winning debut album “In My Head“. Aside from beating off stiff opposition (The XX, Laura Marling & King Krule) to win the much coveted IMPALA European Album of the Year Award, the German duo have toured relentlessly and still found time to pen In My Head’s highly anticipated follow-up. With their new EP “She Says”, Gurr draws inspiration across genres, from contemporary dream pop wonders Beach Fossils to psychedelic classics such as The Velvet Underground.

Denmark’s Yung, a punk-infused, powerful live band who’ve conquered pretty much all the festivals in their native Denmark, as well as releasing an album and multiple EPs along the way. Joining Yung with be Finnish electronic maestro Detalji, who performed for us in Berlin back in 2019. With intense, powerful beats and striking imagery, Detalji promises to bring pumping electronica so make sure to pay close attention. Completing our line up is fresh Norwegian face Red Moon, who’s set to release brand new music just ahead of the show! Already tipped as one of the most exciting artists coming out of Norway this year, we’re thrilled to be hosting Red Moon’s first ever UK show.

Damo Suzuki

A genuinely unique talent, Damo Suzuki found fame after krautrock legends CAN found him busking in the streets of 70s Cologne. Immediately drafting him in to replace Malcolm Mooney, the band, oft-considered one of the single greatest outfits in western musical history went on to record a plethora of seminal LPs, including TAGO MAGO and EGE BAMYASI.
Damo Suzuki’s never-ending tour here stops off at The Lexington, where he will perform with an assembly of hand-picked local musicians. Suzuki’s synthetic language creates an absolutely astonishing performance, his voice remains a beautiful philosopher’s stone, the alchemical jigsaw piece of the krautrock puzzle.

For the last decade, singer-songwriter Wrabel has been crafting emotional pop ballads for himself and some of your favorite artists, like Kesha, Adam Lambert and Ellie Goulding. But now, the artist is delivering one of his most loving ballads to date.
On Friday (May 3), Wrabel released his new single “The Real Thing,” a hypnotic slow jam following the singer as he ponders a new relationship. As the singer’s soft vocals slowly ramp up to the track’s chorus, he cautions his lover to not break his heart. “This could be the real thing/ If we let it, this could be the real thing/ If we don’t fuck it up by overthinking,” he sings.
The new track comes just after Wrabel’s latest major feature on P!nk’s eighth studio album Hurts 2B Human, where he dueted with pop superstar on her track “90 Days.” P!nk gave the singer-songwriter a shout-out on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying she was inspired to work with him thanks to his “The Village” video. “He is an independent artist, and his dream is to make an album, and I hope this is what does it for him,” she said.

A new quintet whose jarring clatter and short sharp tunes make them a welcome addition to the fold. DITZ combine itchy discordance and part noisy grunge thrash; the band will deliver a big heavy wallop of sound that’ll melt your ears.
DITZ were born over a mutual love of post-hardcore and noise rock at a Lightning Bolt show. The quintet released their debut ‘EP1’ in July 2016 and immediately characterised them by fast tempos, intense walls of guitar feedback and vocals that seem to ignore the dourness of the music.
